Fishes with four eyes
Some representatives of a class of fishes have adapted to manage in general eyes, but at others - the whole four eyes! This absolutely surprising adaptation by a life at a surface of water fishes from a sort have got a four-eye (Anableps), living in lagoons Central and South America. Four-eyes concern to separate family Anablepidae and are relatives to all known guppy, Xiphophorus montezumae and Poecilia.
Eyes at these 20-30-сm. small fishes are divided by a partition on two parts - top and bottom. By a partition it is divided not only a cornea, but also a retina inside of an eye, and the crystalline lens has not round, but the oval form. Thus top - "air" - a part of a crystalline lens more flat, than bottom - "water". Floating at a surface of water, the small fish simultaneously watches the enemies both under, and above water. When four-eye wishes to have dinner - it dives under water. Well and then again comes back to a surface of water where continues the patroling.
